Can you imagine the optics in this? Jagr likes the tables I hear. He can live at The Bellagio and do a show like De Niro in Casino....lol

Plus, he'd probably get ALL of the Top 6 ice time he could handle.

Can/does peanut butter go bad if the jar remains sealed?

Like, peanut butter from 1995?

He could handle it. They will make him put on the weight vest and do the stairs of the arena between periods just to keep him from dominating too much...

I loved it.

I have to agree with those on the side of not retiring Recchi's number. Flyers HOF for sure but for some reason he just doesn't seem to identify as a Flyer to me.

I feel the same. Maybe it's because when i hear his name I think of the Pens and Bruins and winning cups there.

He does hold the team record for most points in a season.

I agree, the response was to some fans not identifying him as a flyer.

If they won in 2000 or 2004, I could see, maybe, retiring Recchi's number.

Maybe.

Breaking News. Elliott will wear #37 , Lehtera will wear #15, and Miss Lippy's car is green.

I'll double and triple down on this.....

Recchi, an acknowledged HoFer, has played more games for Philly, scored more goals in Philly, and had more points in Philly than he did at any of his other stops by a pretty big margin.

I still don't think of him as a Flyer as I saw his entire Flyers career. Many of those as a season ticket holder.

Just not a Flyer to me.

Two of my least favourite Flyers players... Recchi and Primeau.

Think I'll sit this one out.

A large part of it is sort of subjective.

And some of it goes back to:

1.) His first Flyers stint, arguably his most prolific statistically, the team was terrible. The 2nd stint, he was a key player, but not THE key player on a team that was close, but still didn't win.
2.) His first Flyers stint ended with going the other way in probably one of the top 10 most important trades in club history. If he was more a part of the mid-90's years, he might be viewed differently.
