Yeah, stuck in AB for now. Working on trying to get some work out in ON. There's not much directly around TO, but there's a nice research position at Queens that I'm in the mix for

Ah sweet, I lived in Ktown for a few years...great spot, but for some reason the downtown core has went a little downhill...last time I was there I couldn't believe all the empty shops....but it still has some gems for bars and restaurants etc.

It's a nice town for sure. For me though, Kenora is probably the nicest town that I've seen

Great lake to fish - one of the best. Aunt and Uncle taught school in Red Lake, and my Uncle is from Kenora. Was there often until my early teens - too young to appreciate the town itself when the fishies in Lake of the Woods were calling my name so loudly.
In fact I remember little about the town other than the launching ramp.

Doughty is massively overrated
Karlsson d is awesome
Burns shouldn't be so high cause his d is terrible.

I need to recognize beforehand which women are good & who the (frank)en cold hearted female doges are. Been (frank)ed over by a few female doges. So I've learned my lesson the hard way. Gotta start a stubborn wiener with my money instead of a sucker with an open wallet. 2018 will be a much better year for me. For me it will be the year of NO female dogES!!!!
- GCHonda

I'll tell you which women are good...

It's coming again. They have an annual massive construction project every summer that shuts down half of downtown but only the smaller shops are badly affected. Some close, but others opening all the time

It's funny....Shanny gets a lot of credit for turning things around in TO but his regime really only has two draft picks on the team (correct me if I'm wrong) in Marner and Matthews. The rest are players that previous managers brought in.

I know he cut a lot of dead-weight and did some good things but as I said, the players are largely not of his doing.

- LeftCoaster

Shanny deserves credit, unlike good old buddy Trevor Linden, he worked at NHL head office before Liewiki hired him (Liewiki should be given more credit than he gets) While good ole boy Linden brought in half wit Benning, Shanahan hired Dubas and Lemoriello. While Linden hired Judd Bracket, Shanahan hired Hunter for scouting. While Linden hired Dejardins and Green, Shanahan hired Babcock. All these hires cost money that Aquilini - the cheap bastard that he is, was not willing to spend. Hence you have a coach that while cheap is not exactly an elite NHL coach. You might ask - what exactly were Linden's qualifications? He was the idiot head of the Players union when the strike wiped out a season of hockey.
Shanahan also kicked Kadri in the ass - and the underperfoming and mostly invisible player turned things around just a little.

Nylander was drafted after shanny was hired.

How are the players not his doing? He hired competent gm and they were able to clear out the junk and start fresh
