This comment is equally as dumb. It's only sustainable as long as Matthews remains willing. There's a reason there aren't many Holmstroms or Hornqvists out there. Agreed! .. and if all things being equal! I'd say Laine has the best chance to win the Rocket Richard,and score 50! not saying no one else might? But I think he's the best pure goal scorer imho

Maybe when the last 50-goal scorer is 35. He's only 32 when the season begins and it's more likely he scores 50 than the rookie that scored 40 now scores 50 as a sophomore just because TML fans get boners thinking they're the center of the hockey universe...

I have feeling the leafs are going to take a big step back this year. They haven't improved the Defense at all. Also they were one of the healthiest teams in the league last year. It will only take one injury to set them back. I am not saying they will not be be bad but to expect them to be automatic playoff team or Stanley cup contender is crazy. The vastly overachieved last year and to expect them to repeat or improve on last year with out adding any key piece to the team especially defense is asking to much. Marleau is going to be a bust.
