I don't think he plays that role nearly as well as Hyman (just my opinion).

I think Brown slots in well on his favoured right wing with Komarov and Kadri.

I think Hyman slots in well on his favoured left wing with Matthews and Nylander (at even strength).

We have enough aesthetically pleasing players, we can afford some grit and sandpaper. We don't need, nor really want, 12 20 goal scorers.

Brown gets tougher assignments and zone starts. Babs clearly trusts him defensively. He's talked about how he's a "power train" player similar to hyman. I don't think there is much of a difference between the two in terms of work ethic and such. Clearly brown is better offensively.

Saying we don't want or need a 20goal scorer is pretty ridiculous. What if hyman scored 20 goals? He becomes expendable? Being good defensively and a hard worker AND good offensively make you very valuable, not expendable.

Id probably take Brown over Hyman but its 1 year and there's probably not a right answer at the moment

Seriously, cannot wait for October to come.. Why are we talking about Brown vs Hyman and who is better;

they both play an important role with this team, both are on the PK, both are hard working players. and both are valuable to this team. I know there is not much to talk about and its still August, but we need to discuss the elephant in the room; how does Ozhiganov get benched in favour of Marchenko?
