Flames had Craig Button for a manager,so I'd say the mess our old boys club made,is on par with some of the tools that have run the Flames organization. As far as ownership goes,right now we have the best building in the league,not hopes for one. We have Bob Nicholson,one of hockey's most respected men. We have a top 5 coach in the league as well,where Calgary has Dallas Eakins 2.0. So yes,our ownership is far better than Calgary's

And as far as Monahan vs Draisaitl goes... Didn't Leon have more playoff points against the Ducks,than say,I dunno,the entire Flames team. That is all. I am not sure i have ever heard anyone call Larsson a saviour.... what we desperately needed, and better than we first expected? Absolutely. Is he better than Dougie, or Gio overall, no, but he is a very capable top pairing defenseman. How many times have you guys said Larsson couldnt make your top 2 pairs? That is a stretch.

As for prospects, any fan will 'defend' them, problem is you guys speak of every single pick ever made like it is the second coming of JG. Draisaitl had more goals than Monahan this season,and already has more career playoff points than Monahan does,and that was without McDavid. So I really don't get the argument that Monahan is better?
