I think Babs wanted the Karlson / Methot type of pairing.. One free wheeling, and one stay at home. - bixll
That's how I always set my defensive pairings in EA NHL'94. |

Ya, I'm a fan of that too but all we seem to keep getting is offensive, skating D men.
If Babs wants that then should he try a BOTTOM 4 of
(Rielly, ???)
Gards, Polak
Hainsey, Zaits
Gets him a LD, RD set up with a stay at home guy in each pair???
|
|
|
|
Yep, heard that too just think that out of all those guys listed someone might show up a little better for Morgan than Hainsey.
Hainsey, Rielly (I think Rielly would play his off side.)
Rielly, New Russian?
Rielly, Carrick?
Rosen, Rielly?
Borgman, Rielly?
Dermott, Rielly?
Have we ever seen:
Rielly, Polak? Did it work at all?
(I am not one of those that sees Polak as slow. Either I'm blind or a bad judge of speed?!?!?) - underhill14
Hainsey would be playing the off side. He's known for playing his off side and apparently has better numbers on that side. |

He's not going to have a great year until we get him somebody really good to play with. |

Good to know.
(I remember Rielly not being so good on his off side with Phaneuf.) |

Borman & Rosen are both better than Carrick - if we get the Russian Ozhiganov
we may truly be set for the future...no need to make a trade - keep what we have |

I just remembered Vegas has a team. I'm excited to see more of their off ice moves/deals than I am the on-ice product right now. |

Yep, me too.
At the beginning of the summer I was more worried about the D. But now not so much.
Last season they weren't that bad...except for the late game loses--they should be able to shut poop down--forwards are a bit responsible, but I blame mostly the D.
After Freddy found his legs and as the season went on that got much better. And poop, the team looked legit against the Capitals.
So maybe our D is not going to be that bad. |

No offense, but what is this opinion based on?
We've never seen any of these guys play, and they haven't played on 85 X 200 ice.
We have no idea how they will shake out. |

yep. That alone will give the whole team a bit more bounce in their step next year.
Gotta think Washington is pissed they drew the new young Leafs in the first round. They were probably exhausted for the second round. |

It's true. Kap has blinding speed.
I could see Kap and Mitch on the same line at some point... Just need a C that could keep up. - As_I_See_It
move Marner to C
Kapanen - Marner - Jagr

Nice. I grow hot peppers and I've been eating a few early super hot pods, like Ghost and Scorpion chilis. My piss come out spicy the other day, it was pretty rad.
