I would be 100% okay with this. In fact, it's what I'm hoping will happen if we don't decide to sign Jagr (minus Brouwer on Backs' line ).

Treliving has pushed a lot of chips in these last few years (trading draft picks/prospects for roster players).The only reason I'm okay with signing Jagr is that, to me, it signals that we are actually going for it all.

A roster with Jagr on it is probably the best possible roster we can ice this year--There is a finally an opening for someone to make it through the west, we may as well go for it these next few seasons. If making a young guy wait an extra year is all it costs to have a shot at winning a cup, then I am for it.

So Frolik is actually a lefty, what about tossing Yagr on MB/MF's right. Allows for chucky to play with Bennett. I know Yagr is not defensively gifted but with Frolik and backs Yagr could get fed a lot of pucks.

Could be why Glen Gulutzan was recently quoted by saying we should pick Sam Bennett in our hockey pools.

I think Frolik has actually played RW his entire career, probably wouldn't mess with that. Jagr needs to play with skilled/fast players to be successful. I think pairing him with Johnny and Money would make an even better line than Barkov and Huberdeau (imagine Johnny and Jagr working the cycle to get the puck to Monahan ).

I would throw Ferland on that line (it could be the 3 mike line ). Ferland is a natural LW and I think he would fit in very well with them (Ferland and Vesteeg could maybe be swapped too--I'd like to see what a Tkachuk-Bennett-Ferland line could do ).

Had to check that out. Good to see that GG seems to have a lot of faith in Bennett's game. Hopefully this is a sign that he's not going to get saddled with an anchor for a linemate (*cough*Brouwer*cough*).

If you read the entire article, it doesn't really link Calgary to Jagr at all. I think the Flames have considered Jagr because Gulutzan used to coach him is code for, "I haven't heard anything about Jagr and Calgary, but really, where else could he fit?"

Saw a few more rumblings on Twitter. A few seem to be using the one that said 1 year 3.7 mill (which doesn't make much sense if he's been asking for 3 )

No legit sources have said anything yet though. Just a few other rumour sites have said that we've talked and "could" be offering him a contract.
