Good blog. Are you going to do D pairings?

I might be alone on this one, but I'd like to see what Hudon can do with some more talented line-mates in the top six. It's a small sample size, but 4 points in 6GP playing with limited TOI and lower-end talent makes me wonder what he can do on a line with Chucky and Drouin. Seems a waste to be burying him on the 4th line or even, at best, with the offensive anchor that is Plekanec.

Who would you play him over in the top 6?

Lehkonen. Move him down to 3rd with Shaw and Byron.

Trade Plek for a handful of magic beans.

I hope Hudon is good enough to make your opinion true. Really do.

I already did the D pairs before I started the Forward Lines. Check out my archives. Thanks

This makes sense.

And the fact I despise Andrew Shaw has nothing to do with it.

- Scabeh

Shaw finished the season quite strong, so it's a little crazy to think of him on the fourth line. That being said, with Mitchell and Hudon, it could still be a line that produces a bit and be relied upon to play a regular shift. Though I'd imagine in the case of late game lead protection, then Shaw replaces Hemsky on the third...

For sure. If he's healthy and can keep up then 3rd line and maybe even some PP time. I'm just not the most optimistic about his ability to remain healthy at all. Hopefully he works out.
- Brandon Smillie

The injury issues have been blown out of proportion though. Four years before this last one, he's appears in 70+ games per.

But who do you move to make room for him in the top 6? Gallagher or Lehkonen? Because no way he is moving Pacioretty, Galchenyuk or Drouin. And Danault is the only natural center of the bunch, so...

So to make room for a young up and coming talent, you're going to move a young talent who improved during all of last year? It's an idea, but it seems counter-productive to me.

Nope. I was not a huge fan of WM either. Too predictable. Might give it a try.
