Maybe, but why so much people assume it was a fluke? Late bloomers are a thing.
- deadpoulet

I'm not saying it was a fluke, I just don't think Byron is top 6 material. Very good 3rd liner who can chip in some offense though.

Well, 20+ goals is 2nd line material. The speed is there and he has been able to find the back of the net with less ice time than some of the «stars».

I think he deserves the chance at some point.

You know who has the door (frank)ing open this year?

Scherbak, he's a RW!

Now he just needs to not suck! EASY!

Lek will most probably play LW with Plek or the 2nd line center

Wouldn't that just be the best scenario ever right?

He surprises everyone in camp and runs away with a top 6 RW role.

THE DREAM.

So you'd put one of your best goal scorers with the offensive black hole that is Plek? I get Byron scored 20 last year but I think with the right linemates Lek could score 30...

I guess, but I kept reading the guy is lazy and has no work ethic. He will most likely start in Laval with a few guys playing out of position. Mind you, I don't know what position Galchenyuk is suppose to play at this point.

Score 30?

Byron and Lek played most of the year with Plek and both got decent numbers.

I'm hoping Julien plays him on the LW 2nd line.

Quite sure Danault will center Patches ...just because it worked.
That leaves Chucky as the 2nd line center to start off the year.

Wouldn't mind seeing Lek play with Chucky and one of Shaw or Gally on the RW as our 2nd line.

I think Gallagher and Byron on the same line makes it a very small line...I'd rather see Lekhonen there but anyway...we're not the ones making the official lineup.

I don't know if Danault worked over there or Radulov/Patches worked. If Drouin play with Patches, it should work as well.

I don't think Shaw sould be on the top 6, unless injuries happen. Lehkonen/Galchenyuk should work. In theory.

Yeah.

We drafted another Andrei Kostitsyn.

With less talent.
