Alex Kerfoot expected to make a decision on NHL future soon. As many as 10 teams expressed interest. Van, NYR, SJ, NYI and Col in final 5.

Isles and Colorado surprise me a bit but he would get a chance to play there immediately. San Jose would be intriguing as well, since they need offense and help on the bottom-six. Vancouver and Rangers have been noted as finalists, wonder who the third 'favorite' is, as Brooks said Rangers were one of two or three.

Not really convinced the Islanders would have playing time (at center) for him. Nelson owns the 2C spot currently and if anyone is going to step in and play center that wasn't on the roster last year, it's Barzal.

Even if he shifts to wing, there's already about 14 forwards (13, until Prince is healthy) that can play.

I don't honestly think the Islanders are in serious contention for him. The rest all make more sense to me.

Arthur Staple from Newsday, who would be on the know as it comes to the Isles, says it's down to SJ and NYR. In terms of depth chart at center, true, was thinking more team as a whole.

Yea, I saw Staple's tweet. He really only said he "heard" SJS or NYR, not quite a report that it was down to those two so I wouldn't rule anyone out just yet.

I mean I'd welcome him, just would mean that the Isles have some reasonably-significant decisions to make up front.

In Soviet Russia, we have no AIDS, because we kill all our gays.
