That seems like a permanent solution for a temporary problem
- willschulme

I don't think it's a temporary problem. None of our centres will scare anyone, RNH has more upside and has become more defensive. His face-offs suck though, but we're used to that.

Maybe by the time Zajac is ready to come back, Nico has established himself a bit and we can go RNH, Nico, Zajac, Boyle down the middle.

I hope Nico comes out and not only blows away the Devils staff but the NHL and turn Hallsy into a 80/90 point winger

Trade Henrique for RNH

Would rather trade Rico for a top pairing d-man. As painfully as it would be to see him in a different jersey...i could deal with it for the right guy.

I was surprised I felt disappointed we let JJ (and BB) walk away. But really, if it wasn't on the shootout when he could have the ice to himself JJ wasn't a productive player.

The problem with JJ is you can have a guy like him when you're a good team. These Devils have a bunch of decent hockey players who don't produce much and he needed to show something.

I hope the change in scenery helps, but I'm not betting on it.

Boyle replaces everything we got out of JJ but he's way better, except for the shootout.

Is there really any fan base that would be against having him on their team? Seems to be quite well respected across all 31 fans bases.

If you don't mind him pushing kids onto the 3rd line, of the ahl, or juniors.

Seriously don't know what people see in rnh, maybe too much nhl17 screen time?

I like Henrique, but no chance a 20-30 goal 40 point center gets you a top pairing defenseman. Unless you are talking about the Devils. Anyone better than Lovejoy could land on the top pair.

Considering what we went through for 10 year I rather have a vet push a kid down, then put a kid in that struggles and losses all his confidence.

With that being said, I mean a vet that deserves the spot. Not one that just gets it because of what he did 10 years ago.

I don't really see anyone turning Hall into anything. He's his own driver as he is a player that needs the puck.

Having a guy that can dig and get the puck out of the defensive zone to Hall on the rush is more help to him than anything.

haha... exactly my thought. He isn't that good as people make it seem like. He isn't strong on the puck and hasn't even physically been able to keep up against bigger opposition.

Yeah, that's fine if the kids can actually stay in the league but what happens when you bring these kids up and they struggle? They get sent down and you need the depth to cover for them.

Nico is supposably a player that plays and does everything at high speed as does Hall...

should be an instant success right? I really hope Nico can adjust to the NHL game, speed, skill and size, and still do everything at high speed..

I really hope that's the case without a doubt go devs...hoping Santini and Mueller take huge steps forward and can handle 16 to 21 minutes a night and Zacha turns into that five tool C we have all hoped for.
