There were so many small details in that episode it was crazy. Can't wait for the next episode which will be 78min of set up for next season and 3min of some crazy poop. (aka the wall coming down)

Hyped for possible CleganeBowl and DragonBowl (aptly being named DragonBowlZ)

They are speed running the plot at this point... for small details I mean like the fact that they eye on Longclaw opened up when Jon climbed out of the water. Or the fact that the Night King clearly knew to wait for dragons to come.

You're right on getting away from the material though. They've mucked up some character arcs.
