DDM I definitely won't be losing sleep over Butcher. He's being extremely over hyped, and the lack quality - puck moving dmen in the league make him way more attractive than his actual value.

Obviously nobody knows how good he will or can be, but based on a lot of smart analysis and his age, he seems to be no better than a 2nd pairing guy who needs about 2 years to develop. My guess is that on a serious Cup contender, he's a bottom paring guy, but on most teams, he's an average 2nd paring.

Teams can never have enough quality dmen in their system. JB loves his NCAA players, especially the ones with a degree.

Circling back to "smooth skater", we'll have to agree to disagree. The important thing is that he is very effective moving the puck, especially moving it out of the defensive zone. Definitely not much offensive flair, and there's good reason to believe his point total was reflective more due to the fact he played on a great college team, rather than him generating offense. But point totals are extremely overrated when it comes to defenseman anyways - at least in my opinion.
