I personally think Smith is a bit too inconsistent. He seems to either be playing like superman or playing like garbage. His in the middle or average games seem to be a little lacking compared to his garbage games.

The other thing is you just don't know how many games you will get out of him and how many your backup will need to play. So even if you go by last years numbers are you going to be confident with Lack playing 25 games? I personally think you would have been better off keeping Johnson to cover those games over Lack.

I can give credit where credit is due though and Kipper was the man. One of my favorite goalies during his time.

Pretty fair opinion. Definitely a lot of Coyotes fans preaching "inconsistency" too.

Here's hoping Rittich or Gillies get starts if Smith gets cold. I don't really understand why we would aquire Lack when Parsons needs a spot, Rittich is the oldest and excelled the most, and Gillies could handle back-up or AHL starting.

About the same odds as Brouwer/Stajan/Lazar losing their spot in camp. Not gonna happen.
