Too early to say they are weak. I think Pettersson will be a NHL player. I have a hunch on Gadjovich. Dahlen Virtanen and Goldobin are the big question marks?

So far on D the only one with a good chance of being a NHLer is OJ

That is my opinion

There is some hope for Brisebois, Holm and Chatfield, but shouldn't get ahead of myself until we see them at camp.

If one of those fwds you listed could develop into a top6 player, that would be great.

Oh I think Pettersson is gonna be a helluva player but until he and any of the other kids prove it, you've gotta keep taking BPA.

My opinion...

Still a lot of question marks, we just need to keep stocking the shelves.

Yep...IMO only when you have some proven depth do you then draft by need.

Briesbois is a maybe . Have to wait and see.

Holm may not even be a NHLer .

Chatfield could replace Stecher but I doubt you have both on the same team

Interesting there are only two WHL prospects on this list. I wonder how many sleepers they might have missed?

Like say Nolan Foote? Edit he would be in the 2019 draft.

That is where a bottom three pick helps the most, in the second round is close to another first round pick.

Maybe JB can acquire one this year. All in all i'm fine with whoever Benning & Brackett pick, lately it appears to be one of the teams strong suits.

Basically so am I. I have a few hopefuls but we should at least end up with two good players next draft.

Trading for firsts is becoming harder and harder. You need a top notch player going back the other way.

Lower first rounder as you mentioned. What goes back though?

Ryan Kennedy wrote Pens could go after RNH with a first round pick for the third line center.

I am sure this will start the Sutter chants

Pens have 3.2 in cap space and Sutter is 4.375 . Nudge is 6 mil

Sutter and Canucks hold back 1.2 mil for the first round pick

Pitt get their third line center for 3.1 mil for four years

Strange, we have some depth at center for a change.

IMO too early to trade Sutter. Need to draft your #1 stud C and have someone around to take all the hard reps well the #1 gets a year of sheltered zone starts. Not sure you want to toss that onto Bo just yet. Unless you feel there is someone else ready for the job.

Numb Nuts said a few weeks back that he expects Canucks to burn one year of Gaudette's ELC. For once I agree with him.

I can see AG as our third line center next year.

If he signs. Which I think he will. Just adds to the usual drama around here.

Isn't that what they are paying Hank to do this year?

McIsaac will be an excellent defenseman. I am all in for him or Veleno.
Many nice players in this draft, so we should end up getting 2 very nice additions to prospect pool, maybe more if Benning can add to the top 2 rounds via a trade.
Samuelsson McShane would be nice picks in the 2nd if available. Can't wait for next draft.

I will be posting my hopefuls lots over the next couple months, in case I lose the deal with Darius, which means I won't be posting again until next summer.

- Reubenkincade

What's the deal?
I caught McShane end of last year. I think he's a lock for 1st round.

This is going to be Bo's fourth year . If he wants big boy money then this sheilding thing needs to go.

He has the help of Hank this year but he needs to show and he has, that he is the Alpha center.
