I assume you are kidding right? b/c aren't isles a good team but the Metro division was stacked? With the amount of time that Snow spends trying to make Bridgeport good then they should be better.
Only thing Bridgeport has been good for is developing our Defensive prospects. - Spartiarti
No out of 30 teams they had either the 7th or 9th best record but 4 teams in division were better so even though they had more point then 9 other teams that got in they couldn't . Like 5 of top 10 teams in league were in thay division |

chimera scored 20 from 3rd line and played little to no PP time.
Ladd also scored a good amount of goals.
Ladd will get plenty of time on PP. It just seem more wasteful to put a talent like JSH who is probably capable of way more Mins to get 3rd line mins.
One big difference in weight vs cappy is having skill guys play with skill and have grinders grind. Not he cappy mentality of everyone playing the same game. - Spartiarti
The kid has played 21 games. He has less than 6 hours of ice time in his NHL career. He's never faced an 82 games schedule. He hasn't gone through the physical abuse that goes with an NHL season. I'm not knocking his potential, but who knows if he will be another disappointment. Let the kid get accustomed to the game on the 3rd line. For all we know he will slump after 30 games. You guys make it sound like he's a 5 year player with a proven record. |

Bailey can play LW too. he has before.

Barzal not making the big club over Beau. Beau has leapfrogged him. Barzal will be first call up if we lose someone injury.
Ladd will get plenty of PP time. He played his best last year with the other old fart Chimera at even strength.
Even if you start Ladd on 2nd line it wont last. - Spartiarti
I agree with these lines as Ladd was with beau and chimera last year too |

Or maybe Bailey will be dropped to the 3rd line. Guess we'll find out in a while. |

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Alex Kerfoot expected to make a decision on NHL future soon. As many as 10 teams expressed interest. Van, NYR, SJ, NYI and Col in final 5.
So that's a thing. Maybe whoever it was that said we'd all freak out if the Isles signed Kerfoot will get to see if that prediction comes true. |

Highly doubt it'll be with us.
Arthur Staple @StapeNewsday
Surprised to see @DarrenDreger report #Isles in Alex Kerfoot's final five. Be a much bigger surprise if they land him. Heard it's SJ or NYR. |

I know. My guess is the Isles were only in the mix because Snow probably offered more money than he was worth.
He and his agent have to know that Nelson (present) and Barzal/Beauvillier (in the near future) would still remain ahead of him on the organizational depth chart. |

Is it sad to feel good we made the final 5
On a side note duchene has to be moved before the season I mean they have dragged the kid through the mud, how can he want to play there after all of that? |

It's nice and all, but I honestly wouldn't be excited either way. If he signs that's nice, but he probably doesn't figure to be a real game-changer. Probably a 3rd line center at best. If he doesn't sign, I don't care.
I have a hard time believing that Sakic doesn't find a dance partner for Duchene before opening night. Not saying he will, just seems like a bad idea all around to have him come back to COL. Nothing will happen if he doesn't drop his asking price though.
edit: Tying these two thoughts together...after some more thought, IF (large "if") he was signed, I wonder if that would mean that Garth is seriously considering including Beauvillier in a Duchene trade. |

if De Haan is in it, then maybe we can just move on and accept our lumps.
Unless Avs claim Reinhart on Waivers...then we are set |

It's my feeling that he can't play there this year after what the team has done to him, not saying isles are a fit but someone could make it work |

Beau being included is definitely a thought. Since Snow is always the smartest one in the room, he wouldn't consider it. Why, you ask? Because he drafted Beau. Beau hasn't proved what he can do yet. Hence, he was still a great pick and not touchable via trade. Now, signing Kerfoot and packaging him up, different story. |

It's not that I wouldn't trade de Haan, but I just don't think they have anyone ready to step in and fill those minutes adequately. Toews looks very promising, but it's still too early to toss him into an important role. |
