here's lehners month by month stat-line:

--October: 2-2-1; 2.61 GAA; .913 Sv%; 0 shutouts
--November: 5-7-3; 2.40; .921; 0
--December: 8-12-5; 2.51; .921; 0
--January: 12-13-5; 2.64; .918; 0
--February: 17-18-7; 2.63; .922; 2
--March: 22-23-8; 2.63; .922; 2
--Final: 23-26-8; 2.68; .920; 2

He played three games in April, went 1-2-0 and allowed seven goals on 74 shots for a .905 sv%

- Michael Pachla

That's surprising
Save% was pretty much the same throughout
I guess we just gave up more shots then, bc the goals against went up
Although, it didn't go up as much as I'd thought

What were Nilsson's numbers like?

It certainly seemed like we were giving up more goals in the 2nd half than the 1st half

early indications would suggest this is because bylsma didnt really change all that much.

The first 20-25 games of this upcoming season will be more revealing.

- Sabresfan-365

they went full defense in November, which brought lehner's gaa down...but they also only scored an average of 1.93 g/gm...and that includes the five goals in the Ottawa game upon eichel's return

that's a good list
- Michael Pachla

Thanks
I'm hardly a pro scout though

And I haven't seen Davidsson at all (that I remember),
so I'd have no clue where to rank him
Sound like a potential 3rd line winger, solid 2way type

I think most ppl are higher than Asplund than I am
Idk that he will score in the NHL, so I think that limits his upside
But it's tough to tell based on numbers in Europe
They often go up once they come over here

Ok, so I'm not crazy
Goals against did go up about half a goal per game as the season went on

This is a big year towards determining whether or not Lehner can be our goalie of the future

Nilsson:

Anders Nilsson
--October: 1-1-1; 1.96 GAA; .937 Sv%; 1 shutout
--November: 3-2-2; 2.20; .939; 1
--December: 5-3-3; 2.47; .925; 1

--February: 9-8-4; 2.69; .921; 1
--March: 10-10-4; 2.73; .920; 1

He played in one game in relief in April and finished the season:

My top 10 would be

1 Nylander
2 Mittelstadt
3 Guhle
4 Baptiste
5 Bailey
6 Pu
7 Borgen
8 Asplund
9 Fasching
10 Luukkonnen

- jdfitz77

My Guess is Fasching will not be in the top 10 for long. I have never believed in him as an NHL player. I actually think a guy like Rodrigues will pass him and have more success at the NHL level.

People wonder why the arena was quiet. We spent the entire game in our own zone. Hopefully Housley lets jack be jack, and to a lesser extent, just point to the opposing net and tell Girgensons to go there in a straight line

Yea they've swapped out franson, gorges, kulikov for 3 mobile offensive d-men. his sv% will go down but its just a question of how much. if the drop isnt too significant you can go forward with him long term since we project the team to continue to get better/deeper on paper.

So other than Nilsson's extremely hot first 2 months...
looks like Save% was pretty consistent & goals against went up

I expect our scoring to be better this year
Young guys continuing to improve, plus better defensive play & Housley's system should help a decent amount

If we can keep the goals against to around 2.50,
we should have a legit shot at the playoffs

Especially with how open our division is
Besides the Wings...
I could see every other team in our division finish between 90-100pts
It's gonna be tight imo

That's entirely possible
There hasn't been a person on here that's doubted Fasching more than me
That said...
his skating has gotten A LOT better (still needs work though)
So if he keeps that improving,
he has a legit shot at being a 20goal scorer at the NHL level,
Bc he really is very good around the net
And we all know that's where most goals are scored now-a-days

I think ppl forget that Fasching made the team out of camp last year
Not Bailey, Baptiste, Nylander or ERod...

I'm not writing him off just yet
I expect all these guys to have BIG seasons in Rochester this year
The competition for our last forward spot & 1st callups should be pretty intense

I see no reason our goal scoring won't go up
We were right around 2.5 in the 2nd half,
which I believe had us borderline top10 in the league

That should go up a little, just with improvement of young guys
Plus the defense should be much better at moving the puck up the ice
And Housley's system of getting the defense involved in the offensive zone

I'll also assume PP regresses a little, but should still be top10

For me...
that all adds up to better than league average scoring
With real potential to be top10 overall

And when we start bringing up scorers like Baptiste & Nylander,
it should only help as well

We need most players to have a good year

we need Eichel to have a great year

We need one guy to have a surprising year (girgs, Nylander, Baptiste, Bailey)

Also a couple guys that dont get mentioned much: Oloffson, Florentino, Sean Malone

i think Florentino and Malone could have really good years in roch

Fasching is on the same level as Casey Nelson...tossed on the back burner, Murrays pick when trying to imitate LA. He's a Rochester 2nd liner

Bailey isn't considered a prospect because of games played already, hopefully he learns how to finish, love his SPEED

Homie is right Murray mishandled golden draft picks and we arnt even a top 10 prospect pool, I love booze too

N Y L A N D E R...the body is ready

Regular season ticket prices are to high

I've been back in Buffalo for a month and would rather love it from a distance. Very boring city unless I'm hungry
