Statsny or RNH are as good and cheaper.

BTW, Lek-Chucky-Drouin would be the Habs 1st line.,

- WaterBoy

As Duchense? They are not as good...no.

Patches will be on your first line and will be playing with either Chucky or Drouin (or both). Someone to give him the puck.

St-Louis aren't that deep at center, I really doubt they trade Stastny...
- BashCH

Wonder if they plan to try Schenn at centre? Hasn't done it since his draft year though.

Stastny
Berglund
Sobotka?
Brodziak

A lot of meh.

Likely still Duchene. He's the only guy openly available. I would think after draisaitl got (deservedly) paid that Nuge is likely moved but I'm not a big fan of his. My dream is Tavares though. Depending on how Eriksson Ek plays this season could open Minny up to moving someone?
- Brandon Smillie

Think Edmonton is probably going to keep RNH and enjoy the last year they can still fit him under the cap before trading him at next year's draft...

If they think they can make a big playoff run, no need to trade him right now...

I agree from an offensive minded standpoint. But the coaches would likely play the first line I mentioned more because they would be better at the 200 ft game. Imo.

Would make sense for them but it might be leading to a "Galchenyuk scenario"...

7.5 mill for a 45 point center? You're right...I really doubt they trade him.

Probably. Unless the right deal for a defender comes along.

We can female dog all we want about the Habs center's situation but St-Louis isn't a lot better IMO...

Only has one year left on his deal though. If they trade him, they're basically abandoning their contention.

Berglund out till December.
I think Schenn plays center. Steen also has played center...a little.
Barbashev...sleeper.

Chia did trade for Desharnais, so nothing is impossible.

I was making the point that nobody would want that contract for that production.
St. Louis is stuck with him more than anything else.

Two reasons.
Best they have.
Nobody will give up an asset(s) for him.

He was a C though. Not saying he's the solution, simply an option.

Just an FYI. Minnesota's window is closing, with Parise, Suter, Koivu etc.

They are not moving a center this season on the projection that a prospect (Erickson Ek) is going to make the team.

Well, if they can get a good established winger for one they might...

If I've made a mistake on what he used to play before becoming a LW I apologize. I could have sworn he was a C before hitting the NHL. My bad.
