It is possible that Drouin could quarterback the PP unit. That leaves a first wave of shooters including Galchenyuk and Pacioretty up front. Danault for faceoffs and hustle down low. Drouin Weber on the point.

That is what I would run with to start camp

- blarneylad

Quite possible. Could also be a very good unit.

If the Habs did somehow get Neil, that Bergevin gif needs to be posted all day.

Nice article. I hope that Galchenyuk gets the opportunity to play C again and proves to everyone that is where he belongs...however I think Bergevin's ultimate goal is to trade him. I do not agree with that approach but I think that is what will happen and unless the return is a proven C then the fans will freak...not that it will matter
- magnateataxia

If Galchenyuk does get handed Drouin and Lehkonen as linemates, he better not take it for granted.

I think Drouin is better than Radulov. It will be hard for Gallagher to suck more than last season. Lekhonen could improve as well. So disagree upfront. Agree with the defense. They will miss Markov on the pp and to get the puck from defense to offense. Unless, once again, Jerabeck end up being pretty good.

When did Habs hire Jacques Martin?
- kev1586

Haha. I think a full year of Julien should have a very positive impact on the team. Key word: Should

IMO...Galchenyuk will only get traded if he doesn't stop partying and stays away from doing coke. Time to grow up for the kid
- Symba007

YEap...other than that he's golden!!!

Well...except for the whole incest thing.

Winnipeg is the favourite as a trade partner then, he would fit right in.

Looks more like 2A-2B lines to me...Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Drouin would be a legit 1st line but those line combos just create two second lines IMO...

Maybe. A lot will depend on whether Danault keeps improving offensively and if Galchenyuk or Drouin break through at C.

I still feel they are holding that cap space for a C deal, but I am simply looking at what I think they could do with the team as it stands.

They can hold on to it all they want. If the deal is not there, not much you can do...

Who do you think MB is targeting? seems like a pretty limited market...

Likely still Duchene. He's the only guy openly available. I would think after draisaitl got (deservedly) paid that Nuge is likely moved but I'm not a big fan of his. My dream is Tavares though. Depending on how Eriksson Ek plays this season could open Minny up to moving someone?

Statsny or RNH are as good and cheaper.

BTW, Lek-Chucky-Drouin would be the Habs 1st line.,

St-Louis aren't that deep at center, I really doubt they trade Stastny...
