Tampa did well with the Kucherov, but if you think about it, his agent should be fired. There are other deals that could be considered better, and some which I consider far worse. The good thing for the Oilers is, they are paying him for what they hope he will do, rather than what was done in the past. Kopitar is making $10 million based on what he did, not what he will do - not good for LA. Draisaitl looks to be on the way up.

Thought I was the only one who thought it was ludicrous to give a young, relatively unproven player a contract like that. How can teams win cups when young players get massive contracts like this before they have won anything? After 1 good season?

Totally disagree with you. It is one thing to pay a young PROVEN star a big contract. It is another to pay a player based on 1 year. Go Peter Chiarelli!

Exactly, the Scheifele, Drouin, Ehlers and Pasta's upcoming contracts should be comparables for Willy and Marner.

Eich's, Draisaitl and McDavids comparible for AM but on that note Mattews hasen't come close to 100 points, he should be around the 10M
