You never know. The Avs have like 7 contacts right now they can afford the risk.

If the leafs sign one he better be (frank)ig worth it

Given that Draisaitl did play a large chunck at centre and its no surprise he could be a #1C on many teams in the next 1-2 yrs his 8.5 should be somewhat comparable to what AM will demand. Points are similar, it will all depend on AM production this year.

I am hopeful Lou can get Nylander and Marner around 6-7

So anything under a combined 23-24M for all 3

well they cant sign to many guys this year, they are sharing their AHL team wiht the Blues this season.

Which is the reason they are low on contracts right now....if they cant play in the CHL or Euros, signing guys to play in the AHL is really not an option.

Once the Blues take over for the Rampage completely next season and the Colorado Eagles get promoted to the AHL (thats the rumour) they will be filling up that roster instead

Leafs should wait until next year, to offer Nylander a new deal. Sit the three guys together, with their agents, and put out $25 million per year on the table. Let the 3 agents figure it out and have a mass signing on that day for 3 future stars of the Maple Leafs. If they can't come to an agreement, with that $25 million, the Leafs need to find an option that would allow them to trade one of Nylander or Marner for a top end defenseman.
