I agree that would be an awful trade but as Chicago has learned with having two players(Kane and Toews) take up 21 million of their cap space. they can't keep everyone and someone would have to be sacrificed to get within the cap. You couldn't trade RHN and bring much salary back.

I'd say Lucic will hurt, but aside from that , the core is pretty much set , Chiarelli will just have to play around that with some support players on marginal deals.
