The cap hits aren't egregious. when Toews and Kane signed their contracts, they took up more than 30% of the total cap space (granted it was like 29% during the season it kicked in). I think the season it kicked it, they had a ridiculous 58% or something committed to their top six players. - DeflatedPucks
