Jan, I didn't see if you already covered it, but why do you think the Rangers haven't traded Holden? At 1.65 for this upcoming year, it's a decent contract for a 2nd or 3rd pair D. Is there really no interest in him? With the handful of D-men we have now, it would make sense to at least trade him for a low cost forward or draft pick.

there's no rush to trade him, they could hang onto him throughout camp and see if a team suffers an injury on the blueline and gets desperate
