It's still conceivable that Guhle could make this team, and if that's the case, we'd be carrying 8 D. I would imagine that if Guhle really shows his stuff in camp, GMJB will have to move a D man. Realistically, the Avs would probably take gorges if you gave them a 3rd for a 5th or something. Gorges as a 7D is fine, but if he's the 8th, he'll probably just want to go. Or we'll waive him.

GMJB would probably prefer Guhle in Roch, but Housely will probably get some say in that, and if he's better than someone else on this roster, he needs to be on the team.

sign butcher if you can but if he is wearing a Sabres sweater this season, that would be trouble. He needs at least a full AHL season playing against better competition for the first time in his life

Risto, McCabe, Antipin, Scandella, Beaulieau, Gorges, Bogo...Guhle after that...he'd be in the AHL with us too. I'm not concerned with it either way. Would add some much needed depth, but won't make or break anything.

Now if we could get Zads back...

I haven't followed any of it, is he signing? I know the agent used the KHL as a threat, but doubt it had validity.

The rumour is that they have agreed to a 2 year bridge deal (2year 2.25m per) but are still talking a long term contract. If they dont get the long done they will announce the brdige
