Because you laughed off a McAvoy comparable, by sharing doughty's accomplishments over almost a 10 year career to a kid who has been in the league for a playoff series (where he pretty much carried them defensively, by the way). Maybe he will, maybe he won't, but your two cents about him are about as valuable as the dump i took this morning.

Here's how good Drew Doughty is (since derp is ongoing):

- IMO the most complete defenseman in the NHL (many agree).
- Made it to the NHL as an 18-year old.
- Nominated for a Norris trophy as a 19-year old.
- Won the Stanley Cup as a 22-year old (and at 24).
- Two Olympic Gold Medals by 24.
- Has missed a total of 16 games in 9 NHL seasons while being considered one of the best all-around defensemen in the league for most of those 9 seasons.

McAvoy is negative-75 games into the "Doughty potential projection".

Fluto Shinzawa? I didn't see it. It would be very consistent with the Bruins history of picking big lumbering slugs like Backes over the talented scoring wingers. However Sweeney has been saying he wants a faster, transition type of team. Trading PAstrnak flies in the face of that.
