im curious what a team might give up for him. His stats are very good, but as far as #2 forwards go he's closer to Reinhart than he is to Draisaitl and im not really as big on him either.
- Sabresfan-365

I'd offersheet him

I thought he was asking for something like 6yrs @ 6mil per

Idk what the compensation is for that...
but I'm assuming I'd be willing to give up the picks

Sam Reinhart for Matt Duchene, give or take any minor addons.
He can play offwing with Eichel kinda how Tarasenko does in St.Louis,
OR you can roll three scoring lines, considering hes one of the best faceoffs guys in the league.
He makes 6 mil, which is about what Reinhart is going to demand.

i think if that was his ask the deal would be done by now. There's a rumour out there they're waiting for draisaitl's deal as a benchmark so my guess is they're asking for more.

unless he puts up 70 pts next year there's no scenario where he'd get/demand 6 mil.

He's most likely getting a bridge deal.

Just talk
It would take more than just Reinhart
Apparently the AVs still have a very large asking price for Duchene

I could see Sam getting a bridge deal
Or something in the neighborhood of 5yrs, 5m per (assuming a good season)

He's a good finisher, but overall I agree.

He's on a line with two of the best forwards in hockey right now.

Also, what site are you using now that stats.hockeyanalysis and Corsica are both down?

6 at 6 would give an AVV of 7.2 over the 5 years, so we would have to send a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I would do it. I wonder if he is looking for more than that, the NHLPA has to really like the Mcdavid deal

I like Pasta, but I think we have enough guys waiting to fill the wing spots.

If anything, I'd be patient and offer sheet Trouba after this year.

I'd offersheet Pasternak over trading for Tavares
1) we are already deep at center
2) we'd only give up picks
3) hurts the Bruins
4) legit top6 winger, makes a Reinhart &/or Kane trade easier to swallow

Who knows if he'd actually sign here?
But I don't see a downside to trying

I got a lot more right recently then ek ever has

I think he only got 1 right for the sabres, Zubrus

and give him a partial on Miller as he listed 10 teams and the blues was one of them

- homiedclown

Both he and Garth got Kane and O'Reilly, but, especially with Garth, when you name every player that is in the rumors, you're bound to get one or two right.

We don't have our own 3rd round pick, so we can't really offer sheet anyone.

And it's not great.

Supposedly Corsica is coming back. That's what their page said, but I haven't checked it in like a month. They wanted to do a better site and wanted to be back up for the start of the regular season.

WOW
What good young forward won't they trade away?
Thornton, Kessel, Seguin...
Don't they learn when they win NONE of these deals?

Great for us though
Will make it that much easier to leap them

- jdfitz77

We all talk about how bad these Bruins trades are, but they have more cups in that time span than any of the teams they traded with. They have more cup appearances too.

How many more could they have had?
Imagine Boston right now with Hamilton & Seguin...
they'd be a legit Cup contender instead of fringe playoff team

Seguin I might agree. Hamilton might be one of the most overrated defensemen in hockey. I haven't seen a guy that lacked footspeed so highly touted since Derian Hatcher.

I remember the staredown. It's the posing part. I don't recall the wave ever happening let alone it being any part of a controversy.
