Going to need your opinion on Reece Willcox pronto.

Reese Worthington was a pedestrian player. No facet of his game was impressive. I would never pick him...I think the best he could do was pitch and he wasn't even good at that. He was a pretty boy above all tbh

I would watch more Phillies games if Vinnie the Gooch and Earl Grey replaced TMac and Murph.

Who has fit the Bill so far in terms of meeting the standard?
- SuperSchennBros

A few guys I guess...but to me that's just the gold standard for the organization. It's just how I view guys. Not really meant to suggest guys don't measure up...I just don't think there has ever been a greater Flyer...more of the just the measuring stick to what it is to be a flyer.

I once met Howe at a signing when I was 10 years old and about 75-80 pounds. He called me, "Muscles."

Who was worse, Steve Downie or Dan Carrillo? These are two guys who I both equally loved and hated and I could understand how people felt about them either way.

To me the three top Flyers all time are Clarke, Lindros and Giroux. Now keep in mind I became a Flyers fan in the mid 90's so the LeClair's, Recchi's, Desjardins and Gagne's hold a special place in my heart. I however can never shake the prototypical Flyer.

Eric Lindros
Rod Brind'Amour
Eric Desjardins
Wayne Simmonds
Keith Primeau
Jeremy Roenick
Derain Hatcher
Chris Pronger
Jason Smith
Simon Gagne
Kimmo Timonen

These are guys I feel gave everything they had. Played through everything. I don't think you could question any of their loyalties except maybe Lindros but I feel Clarke put him through the ringer. Nobody made Lindros do anything, so if he played it's because he wanted to be here.

I grew up in the 80's, and I'll take the fivesome of Kerr, Propp, Poulin, McCrimmon, and Howe any day. Man, they were so good.

I was at Bobby Clarke night, and it was so loud I got a pounding headache after just a few minutes. Interestingly, if I remember correctly, both Kevin Dineen and Joel Quennville played in the game that followed (for Hartford vs. the Flyers).

A little truth in advertising here... there's probably no way I'd actually remember those guys playing in that game without the help of the scoresheet the Flyers ushers handed out to us in our seats in between periods, which I thankfully had the good sense to hold on to all these years and glance at once in a while since then.

That was a great group. Howe was so damned good, he made every player he played with better.
