my guess is there really don't care about pandering to the TSN guys, especially guys like Dreger, they don't have anything to say and don't feel the need to release information out.
THey don't do themselves any favours since it just creates a summer storyline for no reason to fill time in August.
But really how often do you get team press releases that a development coach is leaving an org. These are non stories al the time but but bc its the Avs, people like filling their time piling them on them this summer and its just Foote....of course you get a guy like Dreger going on and on about how he things and feels like things are weird with the Team. Key words, thinks and feelings....he has nothing to back it up.
I dunno just drop the puck already, I'm tired of these clown shoe comments like some of the ones above from such fan bases. Lets go Avs

yeah I hear what you're saying, Foote was just a developmental coach so its not like its anything significant, I think more because the name has value and appeal and even though it would have been insignificant, it would seem a nice gesture for the Av's to at least release something. I would just like this time to get out in front of things more often than being so late to the party in regards to letting this type of information slip out and be used against them. now granted, it would seem the Av's being in the situation they currently are theres not much you can do to save yourself from ridicule cause everyone wants to take a shot at them it seems.
and heck yes w getting this puck dropped already!!! speaking of which. do you think Bednar is frustrated not knowing the heck is going on w Duchene and the long drawn out resigning of Zadorov among other roster moves? cause not long after the season ended Bednar seemed really adamant about being able to prepare the team this summer. wanting to get the guys all together and build unity and it seems all this stalling isnt helping him achieve that goal. I like Beds as a coach and really think he'll have this team humming this year. and people complaining about the current D but I think theres enough there to get by
I was surprised when Foote didn't leave right after the draft. He was only working part time for the Avs so he could focus on his kids and their development. Now that one is part of an NHL franchise it only makes sense for him to leave. This isn't a story.
