I don't believe anyone has even come close to comparing Debrincat to Kane. I am quite sure Debrincat isn't afraid of the big. bad NHLers. If you have watched him play at all, he is a nasty little cuss.

I think Hawks should offer Jagr 1 Million and play him next year.
Will net 20 goals 40 points, help the PP and the shoot out.

Great example for the Kids

But the antithesis of what they say they are pushing for - younger, faster. They already have their quota of older, slower able to contribute veteran leaders in the locker room that people love to complain about (*cough* Seabrook *cough*).

[That said who wouldn't love a Jaeger Blackhawks sweater?]

I was actually wondering the other day if the Hawks had a hand-shake deal with him for when Hossa goes on LTIR. I mean, if Marleau got $6M from the Leafs, Jagr should get $2.5-3.5

H O F er for sure , 1st ballot, but with that being said , no way that kind of $, if Jarg wants to sign for a mill, as a last move possibly AFTER Bowman makes a significant move if there is room under the cap then ok. Otherwise pass as the main post Hossa move.

Good thing I read a little farther before I posted. You stole my line anout Stahlberg. But how about Tony Salmalianen. He could fly, but like a punter that outkicks his coverage, it didn't mean poop.

LOL!

2006

Dale Tallon went out of his way to tell us all through the press how this guy was so special and was gonna make such an impact.

It was a lousy hawk team and ony a stand alone impact player was gonna make a difference and this guy was used to his Finnish teammates covering for him in Finnish elite where he could score on the goaltenders.

A few months ago, I was trying to recall this joke of a Tallon promo along with how he boasted about acquiring a Finnish defenseman (who clearly had little upside in the US) who was gonna help right the ship.

ON Jagr:

Do I have to jar any of your memories to the Hawks-Bruins Stanley Cup Final, despite Pierre McGuire's praises Jagr really had little interest in the defensive parts of the game and just didn't show much short area quickness in the attack when playing with all different bruin linemates (with the intent to "get him going").

Pass
He's a distraction, and if he was a good example, wouldn't the Panthers have kept him?
it's not like the Vegas expansion draft didn't leave the holes, and they decided to fill them differently.

Agree. 100%! Need another Dman and/or maybe a top 6 LW with the Hossa LTIR money. Jaeger is a total luxury item / nice to have if you have extra cap space and roster room. Not seeing how Jaeger can work for the Hawks. Do think he will work someone.

I didn't say the Hawks SHOULD offer him that much, but he made $4M last year, and scored one more point (albeit with less goals) than Anisimov. I think the main reason he isn't signed is because he's looking for more $.

At this point in Jagr's career he is at best a specialist, as in PP and shoot out. He is a liability in every other scenario. Now, a case can be made that the Hawks PP could use improvement and maybe Jagr would be worth it for that reason alone. But, then it must be understood that the Hawks 5v5 game will suffer because they won't be able to roll 4 lines the way they want. In the final analysis, Jagr isn't a fit for the Hawks regardless of his cap hit.

I disagree. Having a team trending up and winning a cup is fairly different. To say they would have won a cup is quite a leap.

Apparently, some of the racist anti-Semitic white nationalists (I don't believe in political correctness either) parading in Charlottesville were carrying posters showing a slightly altered (spokes) Winged Wheel, possibly the meme of a Michigan group called the Right Wings:

How about sticking to hockey... By the way why is everything nowadays called anti-racist and anti-Semitic? ..Example, according to Holywood and the news media Trump is a racist and anti-Semitic. This name calling is becoming a farce in my opinion. So much for politics, AMEN

I agree. Why is it that everyone on the left seems to think everyone on the right is racist, and everyone on the right seems to think everyone on the left is an anarchist? Why not call these groups what they are: an extremely small minority of either party that has no place in this country!

I don't think the majority of the people on the right are racists, but I do believe institutionalized racism exists by your life being those where you never been in a black home in a black neighborhood, or don't realize "those" minorities whether of color or diverse sexual orientation don't have to apologize for being in their situations.

Might I suggest a terrific impactful movie, I Am Not Your Negro.

I think it helps any SIDE see things clearer.

Also so that we can finally get away from all things other than HOCKEY....promise me you will ready this:

Gee - let's stick to hockey - after you get your political comment in.

Why is everything nowadays Trump and on the alt-right called "Islamic terrorism" - I don't say a Trump and is anti-Semitic and racist - just that many of his staff and associates are i(Brannon, Gorka, Sessions, Jones, Stone) - and he ran a very racist and anti-Semitic campaign (Jewish stars and money falling on Hilary in one ad, Pepe the Frog in one, naming only Jewish bankers in an ad blasting glabalization and banking).

These things aren't coincidences done out of ignorance.

So much for politics.
