I can't believe nobody else is making fun of the fact Tanner wrote Chris Tanev

True, but once he's accomplished a quarter of what Girardi has in the league maybe he could be talked about that way.

What has Dan Girardi accomplished?

A very strong case could be made for him being the worst player in the NHL over the past 3 seasons.

THIS v v v v is a regular occurrence with Dan Girardi

Are people joking about Klefbom and Hamilton? That can't be serious. I would take Keith, Pietrangelo, Giordano and Suter over those two any day.

Thatta boy. Way to sum up an 11 year career with one play.
You know about as much as Tanner. And I don't know how to insult anyone more than that.

This isn't 2012
Suter isn't even the best D-man on his team anymore. He plays a crap load a minutes and doesn't excel in any particular part of the game.

Klefbom is a legit top pairing D-man

it's amazing if that one play was a "regular occurrence" for Dan Girardi considering he is the all time leader in playoff games played for the Rangers.

If he did that "all the time", how remarkable is it they kept winning so many important games?

Amazing how none of these guys even mention Vlasic, 1 of best defensive d-men in the league, let alone the western conference.

2012 genius. You know, the year that the undrafted free-agent Girardi made the All-Star game and finished 6th in Norris voting.
All time leader in playoff games for an Original Six franchise, blocked over 2000 shots (most in the league since his debut) and missed 5 games over a span of 7 years.

I challenge Tanev to take a run at a career like that.

Dan Girardi Ladies and Gentlemen
There is a reason he was bought out. When he is on the ice every single player on NYC struggles, and the shot attempts against go through the roof. Not to mention he is dead last in pretty much every defensive metric possible.

why are we talking about Girardi anyway?

yesterday the stove was all about not giving Ryan McDonagh any credit, but today the great Chris Tanev gets all the credit

Yah, he's real crap. 40pts and a good +/-
I'm not saying Klefbom is bad. I'm sure he might be a top 5 one day but not now. No way. He hasn't even played 200 games yet in the NHL and you think he's top 5?

2014-15 season, the Rangers won the President's trophy, Lundqvist missed 2 months and Girardi led the entire team in icetime

but he made everyone around him worse somehow

Credit????

Tanner made a top 5 list and included 14 guys in it and you guys get bent out of shape over Tanev who is one of the best defensive D-man in the NHL while playing on a absolute garbage team.

Not to mention he was playing with Luca F'n Sbisa for pretty much all of last year, and he still put up elite defensive numbers.

When did anyone say he is currently at the top of the league, you imbecile? You continue to ignore nearly a decade of great play to jump on a guy because he has finally broken down after giving up his body for his team night after night.
How stupid can you be?
By your measuring stick Henrik Sedin is nothing special because he only averages about 50 points the last few years as a #1C. He sucks. Run him out of town. Hank Sedin ladies and gentlemen!
