did you watch that clip I put up? did you think that was a lucky goal or was it skill?
- jimbro83

It was a great play. It also doesn't refute anything I've said.

I think sustainable is becoming one of most overused terms on hockey blogs

it's catching up to "sheltered minutes" and "drives possession"

- jimbro83

It really isn't though. Shooting percentage varies YoY, usually quite a bit. Most players that have "down years" or "good years" it is often because they see more/less ice time and opportunity (which leads to more shots) and/or changes in shooting percentage.

I'm guessing people thought Gostisbehere had a sustainable shooting percentage as well.

Sign of things to come. He was a rookie. His usage got more and more as the year went on. The Rangers have Shattenkirk or Brendan Smith to pair with him all year now.

really the sky is the limit for Skjei this year.

That depends, are we talking Jason Momoa Aquaman or original blonde hair orange suit Aquaman?

Yeah, but Crosby dominates EVERY defenseman. That is a silly argument to make. Although, I guess Hedman did figure out how to stop him. Just put him head first into the glass from behind for a concussion. Works every time.

it's so funny the Ranger hatred around here, if Skjei was literally on any other team people would be freaking out about him

To both of your lists I have this to say;

What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

has nothing to do with hatred. its reality. Skjei isn't going to come close to shooting 21% ever again.

wanna know why? its unsustainable.

if it wasn't a Ranger, nobody would bring up "sustainability"

if Werenski was a Ranger and Skjei was a Blue Jacket, we'd be inventing things to be negative about with Werenski

just NY hatred
