Scheider is a good goalie, above average and 10-15 in the league. However he doesn't really belong in the top 10.

What gets me is how one decent year and Talbot is 7. Nope.
QUick may have lost a step but he's still a high end goalie. Also Gibson from ANA should get more love.

Gibson's very good and very young. I'd still take Schneider ahead of Quick and Talbots.

Maybe, but few folks are going to put him on the list ahead of a two time Stanley cup winner and a guy who just made it to the finals. Quick was injured most of the year so it's a bit questionable but still....

That feeds into my point on goalie volatility. A lot of these guys are capable of putting together fantastic seasons and cup runs. Antii Niemi has a cup. I don't think that makes you a top 10 goalie. Consistency and the ability to do it year after year is what separates the goalies, IMO

ILl start by saying I'm a Ranger fan but I think Schneider a good goalie. Arguing over who's better is ridiculous, but: don't say going back 2 seasons and say Lundquist was playing behind a better defense. Skjei played 7 games 2 years ago! Instead we had Staal,Girardi, KLein and others.
