Ok, enough with the allusions to Trump, no one cares but you. It was amusing at first, now it's just annoying.

follow up humor on Don's missing the hate post with some WD and Guance jokes is trumped up into something else. Good hate that will cheer up Don

R u serious u r not up to date?
NHL is not going.

- Nighthawk

Ya I realize nhl not going. Was using Patrick as an example though of a player on a sliding ELC that if got sent down to juniors would only be able to return on emergency recall (or a permanent recall?). Therefore have little to no bearing about whether he had a contract or not.
Would be a pretty good development curve for some of our prospects who can't go to AHL.

As per @DhaliwalSports, USA Hockey is looking at #Canucks prospect Adam Gaudette as a possibility for their 2018 Winter Olympics team.

- VANTEL

Yeah was expecting USA to go for the 1980 playbook and Guadette is a good fit. Meanwhile WD will be looking to cultivate Spengler Cup type players.

You are right about Nolan if he's sent to junior being eligible for Olympic team. But I doubt Flyers send him down after trading away Shenn. Anyway it's said below about policy:

"Daly confirmed that players signed to NHL deals but who are playing in Europe, like Dallas Stars first-round pick Miro Heiskanen who is expected to spend the season in Finland, would not be precluded from playing in the Olympics. Those players loaned to European teams wouldn't be playing the season on their NHL contracts, which is the same situation for those on entry-level deals in Canadian major junior leagues."

So it's active NHL, AHL and ECHL players who could be conceivably play NHL games prior to Olympics that would be barred by Bettman.

With Schenn traded its not likely Patrick is going back to Jr.
Idk if he gains anything going back tbh.

Early Olympic predictions of Canuck prospects:

Team Russia:
A lot of top talent Russian players left KHL for NHL last couple years. So they may turn to saying yes on Tree. Supposedly on his mind when choosing KHL.
Giving a maybe nod on Zhukanov. If he shows well as rookie in KHL.

Team Czeck:
Going with yes on Jasek. Did well at WJC playing with men could get call since has familiarity with Czeck national program.

Team USA
Yes on Guadette. Peeking at right time in NCAA. But no on Lockwood more likely bound for WJC only.

Team Sweden:
Yes on EP. Lock for WJC. Playing significant role for top Top Swedish league team. But no on Gunnerson. Not better then other D options. Plus best he play with Comets.

Team Finland:
OJ- if he doesn't stick with Canucks would need something else to motivate him.
But no on Palmu. Should play with Comets. But if not don't believe he will outshine other Finish options for forwards. Especially since he has no prior relationship with national team.

Team Latvia:
Rodrigo Abols Playing in Sweden this season. Can help him get noticed and to practice with nearby Latvia as one of their young fast player options.

Team Canada:
The 2017 draft guys are in tough to make WJC. So plenty of junior talent ahead of them to pick from if looked at. Now that Guance is off the board only hope is Bo lol. Holds out until March and plays for coach Salo to stay in shape. Ah nah WD will ruin it wanting only Spengler Cup type players.

Was bored over lack of banter. Thought this new topic, not seen before, would strike up some. Not enough short sentences and line breaks

My prediction:

Sedins will either retire after this year and go play in Sweden or sign a 1 year deal here.

Edler gets traded at the TDL or draft.

- Nucker101

That's not a prediction. You listed three possible scenarios that might happen:

1. Retire
2. Play in Sweden
3. Sign 1 year deal

I don't think prediction means what you think it means.
