Do I think his actions make some teams reluctant, sure, but its more that he is an average to below average qb, and why sign a guy who isn't all that good to make your team into a circus. - mdw7413
football is a team game, the ultimate team game
somebody who isn't that good who makes everything about himself is the last guy any locker room needs

it just highlights why the guy doesnt have a job. no backup in the NFL is worth this circus so really Spike isnt doing any favors - mrn22
Yup, also don't remember there being a "right" to be signed by an NFL team. Because if there is, I'm starting my own rally. Who cares i'm in my 40's and have bad ankles and a bad knee. Someone is keeping this man down and will pay!!!
Thats actually really awesome. Could do a couple games in the summer and raise a bunch for the community. - mdw7413
The NHL players used to come to Niagara Falls for a slo-pitch tourney when I was a kid. Like ALL of them! lol. Wayne, Mess, Mario, Gilmour, Fleury, Linden, Yzerman, etc...
We all used to run around like crazy with autograph books. I don't know what ever happened to mine.

This is America, where we have freedoms. Kaepernick is free to express his opinions in our free society. However, choices have consequences. NFL teams are free to choose who they employ as their QB. If Kaepernick made better choices, he might just have a job!
As my Dad would say: "The world needs ditch diggers too"

That would be really cool. I'm sure they could sell out some stadiums.
I think football is the ultimate. No matter how great a football player's individual skill may be, can't do anything unless there are guys blocking for you

How fast can you say Manny Malhortra ...ruined him by throwing him a no win situation..I dont care how mature an 18 yr old can be from sweden...the jump is a joke from a boy into a mens world...
NYR is much better off taking there time and ... need sum leverage when making deals ...
why not Bozak & JVR for Staal & 1 tyop D prospect (Pionk) an 1 top draft pick
we get under cap
they save a contract slot since up near 50 .... Staal can still play
we get a real cup run team with outs for next w/F A in JVR & Bozak
OR Dukey for Holden & top prospect or 2 or draft pick
gotta let this august poker game play out .. around the lg there are alot of incomplete rosters .....the bluff is on till Labor day.....tough to wait & watch - Dundee13
He's been playing against grown men in the SHL the past two seasons, so I'm not so sold on a Manny Malholtra comparison.
Probably, because I don't see how David Desharnes can be the 3C and Boo Nieves can be the 4C. As you said, in the blog Lias Andersson will likely never be a star. How can it ever be a good idea to draft role player in the top 10 of any draft? - tomburton99
Anderson won't be a role player. At least 3 other teams were going to take him if nyr didnt in 1st round. He will be a solid 3rd or 2nd line center as he gets more experience. Great hockey sense.

I just don't get saying, "The kid is 18 he shouldn't make the roster." Shouldn't his play in pre-season and practices determine if he plays? Who gives a flying (frank) how old he is. Never understood the whole "rushing a player" thing. Does it happen, sure, but I would say thats the minority. I would say also thats its a convenient excuse for maybe a player that was highly touted who just can't cut it in the NHL.

nowadays, with the cap, if you got a guy who can play and is only going to take up a 925K cap hit, you gotta take advantage of it
