They lowballed Murphy. But he should have accepted the QO of $17 million as he actually cost himself money by taking 3/37 from Washington. He would have made a bundle this past offseason.

Imagine if Richard Young of the NY Daily News, were any team's baseball writer today, with the way the game has evolved. In effect, he forced Seaver to want to leave town, due to his repeated mocking of not only Tom, but his wife, Nancy as well. Don't forget that Dave "KONG" Kingman was also dealt separately on that same massacre date. And I'm also still mad about that prior season's trade of their best outfielder in Rusty Staub (about age 31), in exchange for aging 36 year old Tigers LH pitcher, Mickey Lolich, even though he had been a top starter for them for years, and pitched well enough here to earn at least $10M a year if at today's baseball salaries.

Haven't you heard or seen enough of him through every media means the past two days since Wednesday evening?
If he were the owner of the Rangers, we would have had at least 6 new head coaches and 6 new GM's fired already since the start of this off season, after he first fired both A.V. and Gorton.

I'm trying to figure out how here, that my post in typing "Young's" first name as it was always publicly known as, gets changed somehow to "Richard Young", his likely proper first name, while Jan's post went through correctly as per his known "NY Daily News" name back then.
I know the obvious "slang" purpose reason, but never in my profession, nor on this site would I ever refer to someone as either, (unless maybe if trump's first name were **** instead).
