I read that the Bruins are working on a 6/$36m deal for Pastrnak. Does this not seem like the perfect opportunity for someone to throw an offer sheet out there? You can go up to $7.85m and only give up a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I am not saying it would be that high, but maybe $7m. We can't do it because we don't have our own 3rd and would really be looking for a LW not a RW, but I could see someone doing it. That is if teams weren't afraid of using offer sheets anymore. He did have 34g 36a plus 2g 2a in 6 playoff games last season.

there are questions with every team in the division save for TBL and MTL...of the rest, Ott looks to be the best followed by TO...and I think the Leafs are very beatable, even when fully healthy like they were all last season

I think Montreal is going to trend downward, but not just yet. Assuming they are relatively healthy, they probably still have 2 more years near the top of the division.
