I'd replace Scorcese and Fincher with Linklater and David O. Russell.
- Victoro311

Linklater and Russell were my next 2... I just love pretty much anything Scorcese.

Goodfellas
Casino
Raging Bull
Taxi Driver
Mean Streats
Departed
Wolf of Wall Street
Shutter Island
Gangs of NY
Cape Fear

IMO, the only Director with a library anywhere close is Tarantino.

Completely agree. The Transformers movies and TMNT needed to not happen

Anyway. It's Horror season officially. Any suggestions?

I actually enjoyed the TMNT movies. I thought they were fun. That was my favorite cartoon as a kid, and I thought he actually did a decent job of combining the action and the humor. It wasn't anywhere near as realistic as the TMNT early 90s movies but it was still cool.

LOL but those weren't realistic either.

Anyway they were pretty awesome, especially the dude who couldn't play hockey for poop.

I enjoyed the movies but they ruin the first three for me. My favorite moment of all movies is seeing Raphael vs Casey Jones in the first movie and then the "oh, you dirty rat. You killed my brother!" Scenes. Based purely on how much I reference them. Not by theatrical quality.

They "tried" to be realistic. Like no aliens and inter-dimension stuff in the 1st 2. Although the 3rd one (which everyone hates) was time traveling.

I think Linklater has an underratedly massive library. Dazed and Confused and Everybody Wants Some!! are near perfect movies, School of Rock, A Scanner Darkly, and Bernie are phenomenal, and although they're not exactly my cup of tea, the Before trilogy is honestly magestic work. His only real failing is Boy Hood, which I still thought was ok, but the overall scope of the project, the effort he put into it, and the hype merritted a better result.

Casey Jones.

When he sits on the porch swing and takes a bite of the apple and then the swing collapses is still hilarious to me.

He's great but other than Lincoln, I don't remember him directing a good movie since the mid or early 2000s

The Babadook, It Follows, and Cabin in the Woods are my favorite horror movies in no particular order.

The third one I think of as an attempt to just have fun with the series. Yeah, it's garbage story wise but it kept up with the first two in just plain fun. The first is actually a quality movie.

Babadook is sooooo underrated. I actually love that movie. It Follows is weird as shot and just watched it this morning. Weird ghost STD poop. Cabin in the Woods I have not seen.

Lincoln sucked. It was total oscar bate. Meryl Streep's worst performance since Mama Mia and DDL's worst movie.
