My Nolan movies probably go:
1a) Dark Knight
1b) The Prestiege
3) Batman Begins
4) Inception
5) Memento

The issue with Memento is that it doesn't have a ton of rewatch ability, much like Shutter Island. It's literally all about the twist. But for someone to have those as their top 5 and Dunkirk not even making it is out of this world. Him and Terantino are the best in the game.

Jupiter Assending was alright, but I also tend to give the Wachowski twins more slack than they actually deserve because I think they're fantastic world builders and world building fascinates me. I loved Sense8 and was one of the people pissed it got canceled.

I read that in like four or five news articles when I read about the X-Men universe within a week of the first reporting. Haven't followed up to see the truthfulness of this, though.

I'd say they are mediocre writers with great visual aesthetics and that being Jennered has helped them since every douchebag film critic who thought The Matrix was a poorly written Jesus Allegory 10 years ago now rave that it is "Transformative Cinema" about transgenderism in a postmodern world and other bollocks.

I think a lot of criticism been thrown their way has been deserved. The second two Matrixes were not great and neither was Jupiter Assending, and Cloud Atlis wasn't nearly as good as it tries to pretend to be, but they have a legitimate talent for world building and the aesthetic.
