It's not like he was a bad player. Played on the US team at the World Cup a few times. I like the fact that he went back to college after he retired to finish his degree and was an undergraduate student assistant coach for the hockey team. Has experience being around the younger guys.

If you want to say I am cherry picking stats then

Of the last 6 years Miller only had a GAA better than Lehner's twice but only one of those years did he have a better save percentage (but if you include his St Louis stats his year averaged worse than Lehner's last year)

You need to stop acting like Miller was an elite goaltender. He was a good goalie that had 2 really great years and when the Sabres were good (which he was apart of) he was not the main reason.

Ryan Miller is a good goalie but was paid like one of the best.

Fun Fact: Biron and Miller have nearly identical career stats. Even Miller's Vezina season is mirrored by Biron's best season with the exception of .GAA and Biron played on a terrible team that year. Miller played on a President's Trophy team, and that's regardless of him. Yeah, we wouldn't have been with Lalime as our starter but you put half the back-ups in the league on Buffalo at that point and we were still going to be dominant.
