I think you said you seen Cole Lind ply a few times, what did you think? I read he is like Eberle but with more size.

Was it a good pick for the 33

RNH walked by me at hastings track Friday night. I think he owns a pony. Would love to trade Tanev for him. Although he is really bow legged.

He has a quick shot, decent skater. I was shocked when they picked him, in a good way.

I guess I was always focused on Cal Foote. There are always lot's of scouts at the Rocket games.

The president tells his police force it is okay to rough up perbs. No Transgenders allowed in military . Gaunce still has no contract. What the hell is going on people?
- VANTEL

The world is sick and i don't think it's 100 percent curable. But that's probably my misdiagnosis, we need a savior, someone who can fix it.... sadly i don't know whether guance is up to the challenge or not.... we'll just have to wait and see won't we?

"They actually made some decent off-season signings this year, but what’s the point of moving a little farther away from the basement if it’s not going to get you in the playoffs?"

They are not wrong. The cap spending is atrocious for the talent level. Our development is unknown seeing it will take a few years. Trades have been minor. Free agency has been just okay and vision is what vision? Are we on a retool or rebuild?

That has to be concern when you are trying to lure season ticket holders.

Because being in the basement doesn't even come close to guaranteed winning.

I'd guess much of it comes down to the market/ownership. It's a business, you have to pay the bills and put something on the ice to watch. I wish there was some stats to show people pay to watch established names on a sh1tty team vs prospects, but it must be a challenge to sell any ticket when you have a losing record.

Not too many prospects stepping into the lineup for ticket buyers to get excited about beyond BB. But I'm not sure if paying fans are too excited about MDZ or Gagner either.

I think we are still retooling, or that has been the intention all along. They didn't want to go full tank but still find themselves at the bottom of the standings.

If the Sedins weren't such franchise players, they would have been gone by now.

signings provide competition. no more gifted spots. and the possibility of flipping these assets at future TDLs.

they won help us make the playoffs.

Draft is in Dallas for the first time in NHL history. Two NHL firsts coming in 2018. And with the first overall pick, the Canucks pick from Frolunda HC, RASMUS DAHLIN

OMG! a prospect we wont see for two years (if we're lucky) gets hurt. We are doomed.

What a bunch of drama queens

- VanHockeyGuy

2 years?? I would be surprised if he doesnt sign his elc at the end of season in sweden and plays out his first 9 games and burns a year.

That is the disturbing part . The name on the back of the jersey is more important than the one on the front. It multiplies seeing there are two of them also.

We celebrate a lot nothing in Canucks history. I know the local fans don't like hearing the truth but it is still the truth.

We have a lot of long shots right now that we are putting all of our trust in.

Yep, the x2 factor.

you have to look at Arizona and Doan. They have had a long leash for him and he has been a constant for the organization for years. finally they cut him loose and he is in his 40's. and the club feels a backlash for their treatment of him.

Sedins might have an even longer leash.

14 mil is a very good head start to find replacements next year.

This is the tough part.

I don't want to wish any Canuck a poor season, but the only way the Sedins don't resign is if they have a terrible season and play the whole season, no injury excuses.

If or when they resign their next contract, are they going from 7mil to 4mil or do the Canucks still owe them money from previously leaving money on the table?

I can't see the Sedins walking away if the club still wants them. They aren't rushing back to play in the SEL. Their kids are likely Canadian-Swede, not Swede-Canadian, they likely want to stay here..

Good day everyone,

Well I have decided enough is enough, it seems that there is a couple of individuals here that feel that they are being targeted, not only directly but indirectly also.

And I am being demanded to do something about this, so I did put out a post that requested 3 individuals to stop badgering each other, but it was also a notice for everyone.

That wasn't enough, so CaptEO was contacted, we have had a conversation and I have supplied some exchanges that I feel fall into the childish bracket.

Well today I have been contacted again and I have been demanded to had out a 2 week ban for childish behavior, but what I plan on doing is stepping back.

I have supplied CaptEO with 3 names that I feel will be good mods, maybe you will see a new mod soon, I'm not sure as EO is deliberating on the situation.

I never believed that grown men could act so childish and petty. I think posters should reflect on what they post, if you are going to make outrageous statements and claims, you should also take a little ribbing.

Have at it guys, enjoy the summer.

Sorry to hear this Makita. Take a step back, but I (mostly we) hope you are back on the tiller when the season starts.

The biggest addition to the team this off-season that can step in and contribute is Sam Gagner. That's what they have to sell right now. Not some 160lb kid that you may see in a few years.
