Lodl LOLjegren is the best one, I have to admit.

It's not disparaging him, that's always the joke with every prospect, they're automatically a bust. I think most people like his chances of being a player.

I don't know jack poop about junior hockey players, but reading all this stuff about how he was rated in the top five for quite a while but had mono got me stoked. He could be a steal at 17.

I like the fact that I trust this management and coaching team too, especially after they got great rookie years and some career years out of their players. I trust them to develop LOLjegren so he has the best chance of being a steal.

Ya, no I agree with all that. But I think the tone has changed a bit with the arrival of the Holy Trinity. That ridiculous Matthews vs McDavid debate EK started really showed how desperate fans of other teams were to find ways to chirp, but exposed them as jealous and petty.

As far fetched as EK's comments may have seemed. Three things should be acknowledged.
1) That was Matthews' rookie campaign (not be confused with MacDavid's sophomore campaign)
2) Matthews played 17:38 a game, not 21:08 a game like McDavid
3) Matthews played the entire season with 2 rookies, one of them Hyman

Too early to say for sure that Matthews won't improve significantly. Have to wait and see.

Not fair to compare Hyman to Komisarek. Hyman got 2.2 Million, in three years, and I said it here first - you will be happy with that contract. There were many shaking their heads - not me!, about signing Kadri to $4.5 for six years. It's now looking like one of the best bargains in Hockey. What do you think the Senatards are going to give Turris, who isn't half as good as Kadri?

I'm on record saying I wouldn't trade Matthews for McDavid. Both players bring a different element to the game.

I am big fan of Hyman and loved the signing.
He's the exact type of guy you need in an 82 game season.

He's a coach's dream that knows what they're gonna get from him night in night out.

Makes his job easier when worrying about the team sheet.
