re: walshy's point
Yeah, there's really no rush for the Leafs to force a deal, paying a premium for a Dman. They're just getting started, and with how well last year went, they're ahead of schedule. It's not like like they have to really go all-in this year because their window is closing or something like that. They have the luxury of being patient until something really good shakes loose. Meanwhile, there's no reason they can't be even more competitive than last year, even if they go into the season as is.

Their best chance to win a cup is when Dermott and Lillybust are on ELC's.
Not when Nylander, Matthews and Marner are on ELC'S.
We'll be alright. Just need to wait 2 more seasons.

Agreed, and they can do some damage within these two seasons also. They didn't get crushed by the Caps in the playoffs by any means, and that was with a squad of rookies going up against a veteran first overall seed. They're not in that group of top contenders yet, but no one's gonna be stunned now if they win a round or more.

Can we please stop calling him "Lillybust"?
No one said he'll be a bust, and tbh he's not even on anyone's radar except ours. No one is jealous of the leafs for drafting him. He went 17th, not top 5..

So lame..
As I said before if anything is should be LOLjegren..
I don't know why fans want to disparage their own players, like it's cool to be the first one to do it. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Lol LOLjegren is the best one, I have to admit.
It's not disparaging him, that's always the joke with every prospect, they're automatically a bust. I think most people like his chances of being a player.
I don't know jack poop about junior hockey players, but reading all this stuff about how he was rated in the top five for quite a while but had mono got me stoked. He could be a steal at 17.
I like the fact that I trust this management and coaching team too, especially after they got great rookie years and some career years out of their players. I trust them to develop LOLjegren so he has the best chance of being a steal.

He's a bust. Why else did he go from top 5 to 17?. Do you even interweb?
