The ONLY thing the Leafs should be looking for is their Larsson-type dman. Other than that, they need to stand pat. This roster is going to be insane for many years to come.
Even after Bozak's likely departure, you know Nylander or Marner will be moved into that spot with Kapanen taking of their spot on the wing.
You don't need Tavares. - Rinosaur
I agree that Leafs need a d-man rather than a forward. Leafs would love to have Tavares, unfortunately, there is a salary cap. As to the type of d-man, Pittsburgh won two cups in total absence of d-men of any quality. Both Letang and Schultz were out for most of the playoffs, and you should know the rest of that bunch is mostly really average at best. The Leafs should get a d-man or two, but not at the expense that the Oilers went to. Don't see enough of Larsson to make a total assessment, but Hall is a superior talent any day of the week. Chiarelli got robbed. Larsson scored 19 points on an offensive team - hard to call him a top pairing guy in my view.

Unless he he a major sophomore slump, which he won't cause he's too good, he can almost name his price.
Won't be far away from 12 imo - robin_steele264
He wont he wants premium quality around him. |

Getting to the final is nice, its not winning the cup. Please don't mix the two. There is a great degree of luck in getting to the final. Remaining injury free and one bad call can cost you a series - Just ask Gilmore.
While we are on the subject of junior roster rights, it didn't hurt Oilers too much that Gretzky was exempt from being drafted did it? Now you can talk about throwing stones - Ballard was a lowlife and and a crook that put the Leafs in the dark ages. Pocklington was a lowlife crook that sold the best forward ever to play in the NHL for cash. Edmonton until winning the first overall for the fourth time (and being run by a couple of dimwits - Lowe and McTavish) were lost in space for ten years. On top of that - they still employ a convicted murderer - McTavish. - winsix
Nah...MAcTavsh was c0nvicted of vehicular manslaughter....not the same as murder, Geraldo. |

You could be right, we'll see. He will be compared to McDavid and unlesss Babcock starts playing him for 21 minutes plus a night like McDavid, it will be hard to put up the same level of points. We'll have to wait and see.

Why would Nash be a target for the Avs?
Not sure if it has been brought up & no doubt it has. That statement there just seems to target Coga of all people to try & get him 'hot' & bothered! |

If RyJo gets this
Good luck to Buffalo and Toronto trying to sign Eichel and Matthews under 10X8 |

Nice problem to have. Are the Nucks going to extend the Sedins? $9 million x 5?

Luckily he's half the player. So expect half the duration and half the AAV.

I think his argument would be that hes just as valuable to the Leafs as Mcdavid is to the Oilers

Like making up ridiculous salary cap projections to try to fit a guy that won't fit into your salary structure long term all because he's from Toronto? Yeah, who enjoys living and working in NYC? It's not happening, so try not to make the rest of us Leafs fans look like delusional clowns in the interim. - Deeps27

Easy peasy. Once he can prove he's able to grace the earth Connor stands on, he'll get paid as such. |
