I'll agree they are the most expendable, but I don't think you're getting a good 3C for either.

I honestly think we could for Hornqvist. ~50 point 20+ goal scoring forwards for ~4 mil AAV don't just grow on trees and Hornqvist has the intangible qualities GMs love. The one year of term is a bit of a downer, but sometimes GMs trade for guys with little term because they think they can resign them. Remember when LA sold the farm for Lucic? Hornqvist isn't Lucic, but he will have value around the league.

I don't think we can get a Tyler Johnson for Hornqvist or anything like that, but we could get a stop gap guy who doesn't have term left on his contract either like Mikael Backlund. I really do think there's a trade to be had with Calgary for Backlund or Bennett. Their RW depth is abysmal.

I'd be fine if that would happen, guess I just doubt it. That was a pretty bad trade that looks worse for how Jones has performed.
