If we make them pay through the eyes to require Webers contract that d be comical.
- apex123

What?

You know that if Weber retires at any point during the current contract, Nashville gets some significant cap penalties, right? The penalty is less and less significant as the years advance, but still.

Webber- Alzner
Petry - Streit
Schlemko - Benn

7th D- Joe Morrow

It's ok as long as no one gets injured

- PatC80

Its a disaster man. NHL gets faster every year and Habs defence is no where near mobile. Markov did a lot for their PP and they replace him with Marc Streit?

Maintain what blue line?
- kev1586

I'm saying in 5 years or so their blue line, on its current trajectory, will be significantly inferior as Weber and Petry will undoubtedly be worse and there are few quality d prospects coming up that are uncertain to pan out. Or are you saying it tongue in cheek and saying their blue line sucks?

Yeah I'm aware. I thought another user on this site said at the time of the deal they could get (frank)ed for 24 million in cap space if Weber retires a Hab, but if he retires a pred it isn't as significant. I could be completely wrong on that, but it's what I was referring to.

A proper "George Thorogood" to celebrate my new job, and lament the leaving of The General from the Habs' roster.*
One Bourbon - Basil Hayden
One Scotch - 12 yrs old Cardhu
One Beer - Innis and Gunn Original

If you need to ask, use the interwebs to look it up once you hit puberty.

Nope, made a bold move (for a dad with 5) to switch companies, get better hours, pay, and benefits after staying in the same company for 9 years, where the only hope of advancement is if someone quits or dies. As easy as it sounds, it was really hard to toss 9 years of company seniority when you have 5 kids. So joke all you want, but it's huge for me.

What I'm saying is, George Thorogood's version of One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer incorporates the House Rent Boogie about a guy who's expelled from his house. You should have gone with an earlier version of OBOSOB, like John Lee Hooker's.
