Seeing what he signs for in KHL will be interesting. This puts a ton of pressure on Jerabek imo. Davidson, Schlemko, Streit, Benn should NOT be plan A ok top-4.
That being said, if he can actually get a forward with that money, everyone should be happy. But this move toward Markov means that "I tried and couldn't get a C at my price" is not an option for MB here. |

I still think the decision was made to get rid of all the Russians this year, using contracts as the main excuse. |

I don't know if it's a Ruskie Purge, but the further on from the Radulov signing I just feel like the draw of playing with Benn and Seguin was worth more than money. I know it's all about money to the players but those two guys are huge draws. |

Carey will have to be on top of his game every single night having this squad in front of him. I predict he will be injured again at some point this season.
That. Or, he will look average with that roster Mark Bergevin has put together. And that 10m signing is going to look awful.
Habs fans must be pretty upset, which I have no sympathy after dealing with these Management issues for for way to long in Toronto! Nice to be on the opposite side of the stick for once :D |

One of my favorite players ever leaving.... such a shame.

I am not sure if they are even a playoff team, TBH. Too many things have to go right for this to work out.
Expect an ugly season of boring defensive hockey games and turtling on the lead going into the 3rd (if not before that), if they get the lead. |
