by my count and cap friendly as well, the A's are Nash and Staal. I could see this not changing. McD, Nash, and Staal as A's - maybe Shatty given an A next year once Staal is either bought out, traded, or is mysteriously injured while getting out of bed.

Another free addition would be great. Still need to figure something out if Andersson doesn't make the team, don't trust Desjarnais as our 3rd line center, let alone if Zib or Hayes were to get hurt.

I think its more Fans and Media who are the ones making it into something more than it is. Its business and they are all pros. No one is talking to the media, jabs at one another, etc. but there is still this narrative of killing value, pissing off people etc. I dont think it really works like that

Gotta say very surprised at Jans lineup considerations....18 yr old starts as 3rd line center ? no way ....Derharnais as our big time 4th .. ?
this sounds like Jans rant for Clendening to get slotted in? Pipe dreams ..
i prefer the pipe but that is sum stuff hes puffin on..Oh my!!!

Z bad who i like is going to play #1 minutes & results ? no way , never has done it before .....will be better but plopping all that expectation ..I D K

we have umpteenth defensemen ... from stars to top vets to up & coming.....
we got enuff for 2 units of 6 ....counting all the potentials

I D K what gorts will surprise us with but IF this our lineup to start 17-18
I want my money back... i'l see ya 18-19.... this is a must for Gorts to pull off
selling Step was not to be done ..only started ..we will see ...

I'm for giving Zibby a chance on the first line since, well, we signed him long term to actually be our first line center.
A full healthy season with top line wingers and the drive to prove he deserves that contract should be motivation enough to excel.
As for the other centers? Camp is just around the corner. Could be a player under the radar gets an invite and locks up a spot.
