Nuge + for galchenyuk
Leon and AG would slay together - HB77
I would more than likely make that move. I have a strong feeling Nuge will be gone if Leon and McDavid being split up works out. |

He seemed like he was amped and motivated to play for the oilers.

Yeah, you certainly NEVER broadly painted anyone who had an opinion different to yours with the same brush of being a moron, mongoloid sheep that was too blinded by a modicum of success to realize your reality where you believe most of his moves have been a negative was the only true path. Not even once.
Whether you intentionally did this or not, you actively and regularly implied that anyone not of your mindset was all those things and more- myself included. Your methods (along with those of rutts, oilhorse and a few non-regular posters) have been a catalyst for morphing these boards into the garbage fire they are now. Complain all you want about their methods but your complaints will fall on deaf ears when you're guilty of the exact same act as the one you're bemoaning. Be better.
I think you people actually enjoy this perpetual back and forth. - MaximumBone
Big difference here. I don't mind other opinions. I disagree regularly with great posters on here.
But when people completely ignore facts or blindly praise everything management does that is when I label them sheep. Then when they fight back with no facts I may end up labelling them morons or other things.
Some are sheep. Some are morons. Those that fit in each category know who they are. No one has been labelled either just for having a different opinion. |

I wouldn't add Yamamoto.
The consensus seems to be we may have got a steal there.
Plus- we need to keep young forward assets in the fold as opposed to expensive free agents . And neither do I think galchenyuk is worth that package.
Certainly worth more than nuge, but their desperation for a top 6 center gives us some leverage.
Next years first maybe. Or perhaps paigan or jones.
We'll prob end up dumping nuge for a bigger cap savings, regardless of how much success we have this season, but that's a move I'd jump all over |

Nuge + for galchenyuk
Leon and AG would slay together - HB77
I'd aim for something along the lines of Nuge+ for Gallagher and Hudon. I'm not big on Galchenyuk and think Gallagher would be a better and more natural fit. Adding Hudon could be a solid under the radar add to give us more depth capable of playing C. This having been said, it would require that McDavid and Draisaitl be separated and entrusted with the harder minutes (something I'm comfortable trusting them with).
Maroon- McDavid- Gallagher (1st comp, dominant)
Lucic- Draisaitl- Kass/Slepy (2nd comp, cycle line)
Jokinen- Strome- Puljujarvi (soft minutes, good mix)
Caggs/Hudon- Letestu- Slepy/Kass (mid comp, outscores)
Hudon/Caggs, Khaira and Pakarinen
All four lines are capable of scoring and putting pressure on the opposition and bring a variety of styles through which to do so. The biggest flaws would be Draisaitl not getting much 5-on-5 support (barring a breakout by Slepy or Kass) until Puljujarvi or Yamamoto are ready for top-6 time and Strome being tasked with his own line- despite easier minutes. The PP would need to keep clicking to make sure confidence is flowing. |

I'd trade Nuge for Gallagher in a (frank)ing heart beat. Love that chippy little (frank)er. Think he'd do equally well with either McDavid or Draisaitl.
