I think the most appropriate article to write, right about now is how Canucks fans feel that Bo Horvat is better than Leon Draisatl and will have a better career.

Your delusions about Canuck fans is infamous if not laughable.

A little off topic but want to hear some thoughts

Hornqvist, Pouliot, 1st for Bennett! Flames fans hear me out!

Hornqvist
-Flames need a top RW
-Burke and the Flames org seem to love a playing style like Hornqvist as do I.
-I think would be a perfect fit with Johnny and monny on top line and net front on PP
Pouliot
-hasn't lived up to potential but still young and has never really been given a chance
-Flames have 1 of the best d core in the league and I think he would fit perfectly into 6th dman to ease him in
1st
-gets back a 1st from hamonic trade or can be used as trade bait at deadline (pens always seem to use there's late or not to get a piece that helps a lot for playoffs)

Bennett
-You know what Bennett brings so not much to explain here your thoughts are your thoughts. I see him as a skilled offensive player with defensive liabilities with lots of upside but hasn't developed as quickly as hoped. Maybe never fully will who knows?

Summary
-Hornqvist only has a year left but an extension could be talked about before the trade and can be signed before or the minute after the trade. 30 years old but has shown he isn't slowing down and still grinds every shift. I think Hornqvist would bring much more to help the Flames over the next couple seasons then Bennett would as the Flames seem to be in a win now mode. (Smith and hamonic trades) couple players right in there prime for the next 3 or so years. Yes Bennet has upside and that's why I added pouliot and a 1st.
Pens clearly need a 3rd line center and I think Bennett would fill that as well.

Let's hear your thoughts Flames and hockey fans!

I can clearly see and understand where you're coming from with this, but there's no way the Flames trade away Bennett for that return. Honrqvist is a nice piece on a team like the penguins, but the Flames have guys of that ilk already (Versteeg, Frolik, even Lazar can play that game, getting to the dirty areas, agitating in front of the net, playing the cycle game), it would be unnecessary for them to trade a guy who's potential you don't wanna give up on. He will be their 3C, and with guys like Monahan and Backlund who have had their injury problems, trading a pivot away would make no sense in my opinion.

Also, as you said, they have a solid defense, Pouliot has been in the NHL for 3 years playing here and there and hasn't even done much, who's to say that his potential is better than Bennett's? The first that would come over too from the Pens, who figure to be in the Stanley Cup race again, is almost a borderline 2nd as well.

So, as I said, I see where you're coming from, but I would for sure not do this, and if you put yourself in the Flames shoes, you probably wouldn't either.

Yes we have pieces that work for us but maybe not so well for other teams.

Going to be interesting seeing how both Pouliot (when he finally gets a long look in the big league), & Sammy B go.

.......did I just hear someone say "puck off"?

Obviously defensemen take longer so Pouliot has a longer leash, but I do expect Sam to take a step forward this year, if Glenny G gives him a playmaker, with some favorable OZ starts, this could be the year he can elevate his game.

We can have the Matthews vs McDavid chat all we want but the real hockey world has one nagging question on their mind..... Streit vs Oduya.

Why would I go there? Why don't you guys come and stand by your words? Why don't you try to justify Bo Horvat being better than Draisatl?
